Deaf Affected by Taal Eruption
A Call for Donations to help the Deaf People in affected areas of Taal Eruption, leaving no one behind.
The number of families in Batangas affected by Taal Volcano’s activity has already climbed to more than 18,000, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of Batangas reported on Wednesday, 15th of January, 2020.
There are more than 45 Deaf families who asked for help through Facebook videos which they posted online. This is to let the public know especially the Deaf Community that they are currently sheltered in different evacuation centers in the provinces.
The Philippine Deaf Sign Language Association, Inc. is asking for any kind of cash donations to be used in the following:
– Face masks
– Bottled water
– Easy-open canned goods
– Cup noodles
– 3-in-1 coffee
– Cleaning materials
– Blanket and mattress
– Hygiene kits
We will also use the cash donations to give for the Deaf families affected by the end of January 2020.
